The Everett Public Schools, in partnership with the Eliot Family Resource Center and the Lawyers for Civil Rights, are hosting a special virtual presentation on Wednesday, March 5th from 5 to 6 p.m. on Zoom.
The free session will be translated in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. Attorney Erika Richmond from the Lawyers for Civil Rights will lead the discussion. Topics include: ICE requirements as they relate to public schools; Fourth Amendment protections; legal frameworks for school districts; parental rights; temporary childcare options; and issues related to TPS — or Temporary Protected Status.
